Hand Cream Recipe *Very good

12oz or 1 1/2 cups of glycerine
1 1/4 cups stearic acid
1 tbsp drug store ammonia
1/2 tsp Borax powder
1/4 bar (1 oz) paraffin
1 pint warm water
Dash of perfume and cake coloring as desired

put glycerine in enamel or granite double boiler ( or china mixing bowl over warm water) with paraffin and steaic acid.
When wax is melted add ammonia (turn your face away) and beat until milky
Dissolve borax in water and add to above mixture.
Remove from fire and beat until thick (about 5 min). Add perfume and coloring if desired.  Put into jars. Makes about 2 quarts.
